Election Research Group Predicts Atiku’s Victory At 2023 Presidential Poll

An Academic Think-tank and Election Research Group known as Credible Candidates has predicted a landslide victory for former vice president Atiku Abubakar and the presidential candidate of people’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the forthcoming 2023 Poll.

The election research group peopled mainly by individuals from the academia, legal and media profession had made a similar prediction in the 2019 general election, saying Atiku Abubakar who flew the PDP flag as its presidential candidate would emerge victorious with 56 percent of the total vote cast, an exercise that was eventually won by President Muhammadu Buhari.

National coordinator of the group Dr. Jamilu Auwalu Adamu in an interaction with newsmen in Kaduna disclosed that Credible Candidates as stakeholders in ensuring free and fair election would deploy the use of Digital Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Media and Statistical strategies among others to combat rigging in the 2023 exercise.

Dr. Adamu, a world renowned artificial intelligence and risk professional and former president of Academic Staff Union of Inter – University Centre (ASUIC) lamented poor voter education amongst Nigerian electorate, calling for proactive and collaborative efforts by election monitors and observers towards ensuring active participants in the forthcoming general franchise.

” We may be misunderstood in some quarters as partisan for our stand in support of one of the contestants, Atiku Abubakar whose invaluable contributions in enthroning and enriching the country’s democracy cannot be overemphasized.

” We are research and statistics based organization with focus in Making sure rules and regulations guiding elections are strictly adhered to for progress and development of our polity.

” We also bring all serious election contenders under our radar and microscope with the aim of scrutinizing then vis-a-vis their antecedents and contributions in nation building efforts.

” We have, after a painstaking and brainstorming exercise converged on former vice president Atiku Abubakar and flag bearer of PDP in the next Presidential Election.

” We have done same in 2019 when we predicted a win for Atiku Abubakar with a total of 56.25 percent or thereabout.

” Our case was proven at election tribunal and beyond though not successful, ” he said.
