Former governor of Oyo State and Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has declared that Nigeria will be great again despite its present economic recession.
Also, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information andCommunication technology (ICT) and Cybercrime, Senator Abdulfatai Buhari has observed that changing Nigeria into a better country should be a collective responsibility handled with total dedication.
Senator Ladoja and Senator Buhari stated these in their separate Eid el Kabir messages made available to journalists in Ibadan on the celebrations of this years’ Eid-el-Kabir festival.
The former governor in his message signed by his media aide, Alhaji Lanre Latinwo advised Nigerians not to be discouraged or lose faith in the country inspite of the harsh economic realities.
Senator Ladoja stressed that Nigerians should not allow the present economic situation to make them lose sight of the benefits of the Eid el Kabir period, which is sacrificial, reminding them that tough times don’t last, but tough people do.
Emphasizing that “this season will pass and Nigeria will be great again,” the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland asked Nigerians to pray for the country and its leaders for God’s guidance, blessings and direction to fulfil the electoral promises made.
While calling on Nigeria leaders to quickly come up with proactive measures that will bring succour to the people for times are hard, the former governor prayed Allah to accept everyone’s good deeds, forgive our transgressions and make Nigeria great Again.
Senator Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial district in his sallah message declared that every individual in the country have a crucial role to play its advancement and bringing about the much needed change.
The Senator maintained that Nigeria “is no doubt going a trying moment but we should not allow our emotions and political affiliation to betray our sense of commitment to the growth of the nation because the economic crisis and other problem facing the nation will soon be history ‘
“I am confident of the fact that better days lies ahead for us in the country and we shall all live to enjoy it by the grace of God,but it can only be achieved through total commitment, transparent, honest and support for government policies and developmental programs”.
Congratulating Muslims faithful on the Eid-el-Kabir, Senator Buhari urged them to continue to apply the teaching if Allah in their day to day activities as well as ensuring harmonius relationship with other members of the society.
