Eid-el-Kabir: Kaduna Police  Deploys Over 10,000 Personnel To Strategic Locations

The Kaduna Police Command has notified the general public that it has made strategic security arrangement for this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebrations in the state.

A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammed Jalige, dated Friday July 8, said that the deployment is drawn from the command’s manpower and logistical resources comprising the conventional, tactical and  intelligence assets all aimed at ensuring that the celebration is hitch free in the state. 

“The over ten thousand (10,000) personnel deployment is to give safety and security to worshipers at their respective  worship centers, critical national infrastructures, markets, social and recreational centers, major highways and other public spaces. 

“This arrangement is in line with the mandate and directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman psc (+), NPM,fdc for public space to be dominated and secured.

“The Commissioner of police Kaduna Command CP Yekini A. Ayoku psc(+), mni is calling on the general public to take their personal and family safety very serious and to warn their wards  against the use of fireworks (Knock out) in public places as violators of this warning will be severely dealt with in accordance with extant laws of the land,” it said.

The Command assured the general public that it has dominated all public spaces and urged them to go about their lawful activities without fear of intimidation or harassment from any quarter and to hastenly report suspicious object(s) or person(s) through the designated Kaduna Police Command’s existing emergency contacts 07039675856 and 08075391105 for prompt and necessary action.

“The CP equally advised road users to drive carefully and be conscious of their environment as well to cooperate with security operatives at every point of contact and need.

 “He is as well using this opportunity to felicitate with Muslim faithfuls in the State and urged them to pray for peace and security of the nation and Kaduna State in particular during this year’s 2022 Eid-el Kabir Prayers.”
