A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State and a gubernatorial aspirant of the party, Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna has felicitated with Christians in the state.
In a statement signed and issued to our correspondent by the Director Media and Publicity, Dr. Jamil Gwamna Campaign Organisation, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, "the season is a reflection of what Jesus Christ did on the cross to redeem mankind to their maker as the season is, therefore, one of sacrifice and love, hence, I urge all Christians in Gombe State and beyond to make sacrifices and love more deeply rooted in their daily lives."
The statement added that In spite of the numerous challenges being faced, Christians have enough reasons to be grateful to God especially for being part of this year's celebration and
"In the course of the celebration, let's extend the same love that God has shown to mankind to our neighbours and share more to ensure that those who do not have, have a reason to smile this season," Gwamna said.
Dr. Gwamna urged Christians to use the season as an opportunity to offer more prayers for the prosperity and growth of the country and the Gombe State.
The gubernatorial hopeful also called on the people of Gombe State to play politics with all sense of decorum and responsibility as elections draw near for the good of the state.
