A governorship aspirant, Chief David Kente  under the platform  of the All Progressives  Congress (APC) on Saturday, pledged to introduce double stream teaching and learning model  to revive the education sector if given the mandate.

Kente disclosed this at the official declaration  of intention to contest the governorship  ticket of tbe APC in the 2023 Taraba governorship race in Jalingo.

He explained that the double stream would entail children going to school both morning and evening, to end the menace of out-of-school children

Kente noted that the model would enable his administration to use less educational infrastructure  to train more students so that the funds for additional  infrastructure  would be channelled to teachers welfare and other developmental projects.

According  to him, Taraba is hugely endowed with both agricultural  and mineral resources that need a focused person like him to tap for the benefit of the people.

The aspirant urged members of the APC in the state to go for the best   to take Taraba from the Peoples  Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.

Kente, a Board member of the North East Development  Commission (NEDC), a retired Director of Finance with the National Assembly and founder of the DSK Foundation,  said he would  turn around tbe fortunes of the state if given the mandate.

According  to him, Taraba does not need to continue  depending on federal  allocation to survive, given its endowment, saying he would use his experience  in business to bear  on the economy  of the state.

The New Nigerian recalls that Kente was the candidate of the Social Democratic  Party (SDP) in the 2015 and an aspirant for the ticket of the APC in 2019 governorship race in the state.
