Dutsinma and Kurfi Local Governments Dry season farmers have received irrigation materials provided by Katsina State Government.
In Dutsinma, the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Barrister Sulaiman Namadi said the gesture was to enhance irrigation farming and food security.
He said clusters were divided into six with ten beneficiaries from each cluster.
The irrigation materials provided include solar water pump, insecticides, pumping machines, solar panels, agro chemicals, variety of seeds among others.
In Kurfi the Council Chairman Alhaji Mannir Shehu said, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda provided them to boost irrigation farming in the State.
Also speaking, the Director of Agriculture of the area Malam Mansir Ibrahim Bara’u called for proper utilization of the items to achieve the desired objectives.
On behalf of the beneficiaries Malam Muntari sale Dantikiri and Alhaji Nasiru Birchi assured judicious use of the items.
In a remark, the Yandakan Katsina and District head of Dutsinma Alhaji Sada Mohammed Sada thanked the State Government for the gesture.
Meanwhile the Dutsinma Local Government has also distributed two hundred bags of maize as palliatives across the eleven wards of the area.
The caretaker Chairman, Barrister Sulaiman Namadi charged the distribution committees to follow laid down rules, during the distribution.
