Digitization Of Immigration Services My Greatest Legacy – Babandede

The outgoing Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS), Alh. Muhammad Babandede has said that his greatest legacy in his five years of leadership in the services of the NIS is the successful digitization of operational services of the Nigerian Immigration Services, more especially on border’s anagement services worldwide.
” I am pleased to announce that in our five years of leadership, we were able to reposition the Nigerian Immigration Services for efficiency, improved quality service delivery and networking most of our operational gadgets with modern facility of international standards aimed at competing with modern challenges in border control and management. This will go a long way to boost the security integrity of our nation in the eyes of the world,” he said.
Speaking at the grand reception in his honour at Ringim on Sunday by the Youth and Civil Society Coalition for Development (YCSCD), Babandede commended the forum for the gesture. 
“I remain grateful to my Governor, Badaru Abubakar, on whose fatherly advise helped me a lot in achieving my mission in steering the leadership of the NIS most successfully,” he said.
He also extended  commendation to the five Emirs of Jigawa State, the entire well wishers and members of the larger community for the love, affection and mutual understanding and cooperation rendered to him at all times.
“My success goes hand-in-hand with my posture of good working relationship with the people and my men in the service. This earns me mutual respect, and honour from both my community, my men in the service, amongst other well wishers,” he added.
Babandede also stressed that for one to excel in life, the individual is expected to work well, manage the people and definitely they will get respect and honour. 
“I therefore, urge my fellow men in  Immigration Services to be dedicated, punctual to duty and above all, be God fearing, honest, and transparent in all their undertakings,” he charged.
Earlier in his remarks, the Emir of Ringim, Alh Sayyadi Mahmud extolled the good virtues of the outgoing Immigration boss, saying he is a man of God, principled and a really  patriotic Nigerian who distinguished himself in the service of humanity and the country in rendering selfless service to the nation.
“Your noble achievements in transforming the Immigration Services will ever be remembered as you contribute immensely towards improving the service to  greater heights through introduction of certain measures aimed at enhancing the services by means of digitizing the operational conduct of the services worldwide, is commendable,” he said.
This same reception was observed in honor of Babandede by (YCSCD) in Hadejia before Ringim where the Emir of Hadejia, Alh. Adamu Abubakar Maje thanked the outgoing Immigration boss for his laudable achievements in services of the NIS and wished him more success in his future endeavors.
The occasion was graced by imminent personalities, well wishers amongst other big dignitaries comprising of politicians, state and federal civil servants and business moguls.
