Digital Age: Acquaint Yourselves With Modern Knowledge In Transport Industry, Railway Corporation Leader Enjoins Workers

Members of management and staff of Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) have been advised to update themselves with modern knowledge in the transportation industriy.
Managing Director of NRC, Engr. Fidet Okhiria, told this to the workers at a two-day refresher course organized by the corporation to build the capacity of its workforce in order to enhance productivity 
Okhiria noted that the training became imperative especially now that the world is going digital in technology. 
He stressed that railway workers must brace-up to the challenges in order to discharge their official duties optimally.

.In a news statement titled: “NRC Organizes A Two-Day Capacity Building for Staff,” which was issued on 8th December 2021, the NRC boss said one of the cardinal objectives of his administration is to equip  management and staff with skills and tools for efficient and effective service delivery in the corporation.
Okhiria while stressing the imperativeness  of training all cadres of staff in the corporation,  charged the workforce to always display the spirit of teamwork during and after the programme, according to the news release signed by Yakub Mahmood, the Deputy Director, Public Relations of NRC.

“The Director (Admin/HR) Dr. (Mrs.) Monsurat Omotayo represented by the DD (Admin) Mr. Adeniran described the training as a kind gesture from the management through the undaunted effort and commitment of Admin/HR for capacity building  of staff and urged the staff to dedicate themselves to the selfless service of the corporation 
“The management staff attended training at Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, (ASCON) Badagry, Lagos, the Confidential Secretaries at Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Ilorin Area Office, Kwara State, while the Headquarter and Lagos District staff were trained at different venues, including Railway Technical Institute Ebute Metta, Lagos
“Some of the participants at the program shared their views and expressed their utmost appreciation to the Corporation for organizing the programme.
“A staff from the H/R department commended the Corporation for training the staff and called on management to consider the upgrading of offices with furniture and facilities befitting the corporation..”A staff of the Procurement department said she enjoyed the training because it was educative and availed her the benefit of refreshing her knowledge, the Public Relations chief wrote in the news statement.
