COVID-19: NIFAA Asks FG To Make Vaccine Accessible

Nigerian Inter-Faith Action Association (NIFAA) in collaboration with Pathfinder International has called on the Federal Government to make COVID-19 Vaccine accessible and available to Nigerians.

The Programme Manager NIFAA, Dr. Fatima Fanna Mairami made the call during Interfaith Dialogue To Increase COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake with religious leaders in Kaduna.

She said “there is need for us to have Covid-19 Vaccine at strategic places; like banks, churches, mosques, let it be at places people visit most to be easier for Nigerians”.

She said that Nigerians complained about non availability and accessibility of the Covid-19 Vaccine especially those in the rural areas, she added.
Dr Mairami who also sensitized over 25 religious leaders on Covid-19 vaccine called on Nigerians to take the Vaccine, maintaining that the it is safe for everyone including pregnant women, she said.

On his part, the Admin Manager NIFAA, Mr. Peter Ameh Salifu also called on the government to use worship centres as vaccination points.

Salifu also appealed to the government to allot more funds to health challenges in the country.
