Community Regent Gets Delta Govt Recognition

The regent of Aviara kingdom, HRM, Prince Harry Uzuazomaro, Emaviwe, Okoroze1, has been presented a letter of recognition by the Delta State government as the traditional ruler to pilot the affairs of Aviara kingdom in the next eighteen months.
The letter which was signed by Mrs G.I. Okuma, Permanent Secretary Directorate of Chieftaincy Affairs Deputy Governor office, was presented to the regent by the Chairman of Isoko South local government council, Sir Malik Ithiako Ikpokpo.
While presenting the letter to the traditional ruler, Sir Malik Ithiako Ikpokpo stated that, “today’s official presentation marked the end of a six year kingship tussle in Aviara.”
He explained that the recognition followed all the due process which includes deliberation and recommendation at the Local Government Executive meeting and the final approval by the Delta State Executive Council headed by his Excellency, the State Governor Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
Sir Ikpokpo also commended the civil and peaceful disposition of all the parties and the generality of the Aviara kingdom all through the period the issue lingered and urge other Isoko communities to emulate the peaceful conduct of the Avaira people.
The Council boss also appreciated immensely the effort of the Isoko Peace Mission led by Chief A.P.J Okpakpor for brokering peace and bringing the issue to a conclusive end.
On his remark,  HRM, Prince Uzuazomaro Harry Emaviwe, Okoroze 1,   commended the State government for adopting the resolution reached by the peace committee as well as Isoko Development Union (IDU) for the peaceful role they played all throughout the period of the leadership tussle.
The Monarch however called on all and sundry to work together as one united family to ensure that Aviara kingdom is develop. He also urge the youths of the Clan led by Lawrence Agathai to maintained their peaceful disposition in all issues that relates to the community.
