COHEADS Northwest Zonal Exhibition Colourful, Participants Day, Commend Kano Poly Rector

The Northwest Zonal Exhibition and Competition For The Students Of Polytechnic and Colleges Of Technology held in Kano on Tuesday, was colourful and hitch-free.

The exhibition which was organised by the Council of Heads of Polytechnic and Colleges of Technology in Nigeria (COHEADS) and hosted by the Kano State Polytechnic, was well attended by contingents of  polytechnic and colleges of technology across the North West.

Pavilions stationed by the participants were inspected by the special guests, while many questions and research findings were shared by the stewards, who revealed the impact of their inventions to disseminate the information about what they invented.

Speaking at the occasion which took place at the school of Technology, the Rector, Kano State Polytechnic, Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa disclosed that they are working to ensure that technology makes advancement in tertiary institutions with special emphasis on skills acquisition professionalism.

He announced that Kano Dtate Polytechnic is receiving all the necessary support and recognition from the  state government under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Speaking further,  he assured that in the near future, economic development and growth would be achieved through Technology.

“I wish to welcome our guests who trooped to Kano for the exhibition from different colleges of technology across the North Weat zone, and thank our dynamic Commissioner Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, who is working selflessly to ensure that all is well under its ministry, which we regard as a great success,” he concluded.

In their separate speeches, the representative of the Commissioner Ministry of Higher Education Kano State, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Adda’u and the representative of the Executive Secretary National Board for a Technical Education (NBTE), Professor Idris Bugaje, who is the COHEADS Chairman, described the exhibition as one of the best in Nigeria.

Some invited guests and students that had a chat with our correspondent, said that there is tremendous success in Kano State Polytechnic.

 They said that the rector and his lieutenants remain committed towards the progress of technology in the state and in the near future, excellent results would be seen on ground, while commending the  rector for excellent hosting.
