He expressed this during a programme to kick start the 15th anniversary of the House of Purpose Ministry, Ungwan Sunday in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on May 13, 2022.
Pastor Kanda who was represented by the Resident Pastor of the ministry, Collins David Simeon, said a faithful steward, who is a Christian must be humble, knowing that all he has, comes from God.
Davidson, who took his reading from the Book of Mark Chapter 4Verse 30 to 32, said that It is difficult to find a faithful lieutenant in today’s churches.
He however, admonished followers to abide by the will of the Almighty God over them in order to receive heavenly blessings.
He stressed that the worst thing that can spoil a relationship forever is breach of trust, warning that things Christians refuse to give God will be taken by the devil or death.
Pastor Davidson therefore, urged all members of House of Purpose ministry to stand with Apostle Yakubu Yusuf, whom God has placed over them as spiritual father, noting that, “if God sets a man above you as spiritual leader, you can hardly succeed beyond him.”
The clergyman also advised Christians to accept work assigned to them by their superiors without grudges or reluctance.
”A faithful steward does not run away from work or assignment, but faces challenges to conquer and he must be ready to obey his master, who is Jesus Christ,” he said.
He said that rewards were given to everyone according to their deeds not only in heaven but on earth.
In his remarks, the founder of House of Purpose Ministry, Apostle Yakubu Yusuf, who was overwhelmed with joy, said that the fifteen-year journey has been possible with the divine intervention of God.
He explained that the ministry which started as ‘ Brother Yakubu Prayer House with five children, has blossomed to the glory of God, saying it was a good thing to be in unity as brethrens even though it was not always splendid.
Apostle emphasized the need for Christians to remain steadfast in prayers, services and abide by the will of the Almighty God in order to receive heavenly blessings.
