No fewer than 150 victims of banditry have been assisted with bags of rice in Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Chairman of the local government council, Alhaji Bala Garba Tsanni performed the distribution exercise to the beneficiaries.
Alhaji Garba Tsanni said the bags of the rice were provided by the federal government.
Alhaji Bala Garba Tsanni disclosed that the assistance was meant to ease their living conditions.
Alhaji Bala Garba acknowledged the effort of Governor Aminu Bello Masari to contain the security situation in the state.
Earlier, Batagarawa Local Government Council directors of administration, Alhaji Hassan Yusuf Machika and that of Education and Social Services, Alhaji Usman Halliru Matazu called for more prayers for peace and tranquility to reign in the whole state and the Country in general.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman of the area, Alhaji Shamsu Bambami expressed delight over the assistance.
