Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, smiled in victory, as Sir Monday Ebong Uko returned to Youth and Sports Ministry as a Commissioner.
SWAN in a statement jointly signed by the Chapter’s Chairman and Secretary, Messrs Emmanuel Akpan and Theophilus Udo respectively, described the reappointment of Sir Ebong as a reward for hard work.
“We, the executive and members of sports writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Akwa Ibom state chapter heartily congratulate and celebrate the re-appointment of sir Monday Ebong Uko as the Commissioner of Youth Development and Sports by Governor Umo Eno.
“We see your re-appointment as a reward for your dedication to hard work and commitment towards the development of sports in Akwa Ibom state in the past years.”
SWAN in the state expressed optimism that the Commissioner would use his wealth of experience to work with the sports l Governor, whom they described as a “Sports Loving Governor” to place Akwa Ibom state top in the sports map of Nigeria both in manpower and sports infrastructures.
They reiterated the commitment to continue to partner with the Commissioner and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development to ensure that his leadership records more sporting history.
Members also commended Governor Umo Eno for reappointing Sir Monday Ebong Uko into the Youth and Sports Ministry.
