A member, All Progressives Congress (APC) Board of Trustees, Prince Malik Afegbua has congratulated the two nominees from Edo State, Hon. Pius Obudu and General Charles Airhiavbare (rtd), as members of the board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
An elated Afegbua who gave the commendation in a statement, issued and signed on Friday, said that Hon. Pius Egberanmen Odubu, is an erudite and experienced statesman, “one who have sacrificed so much of personal ambition for the common good of the Nigerians, Edo State and even across Party affiliation is best man for the job.
“He is inarguably a mix of intellect, content, emotional intelligence laced with the admirable niche of a calm and refined gentleman. His nomination is a well deserved and I congratulate him.
“Also, Gen. Charles Airhiavbare, is a veteran whose massive experiences in administration and finance will come very handy. It will be a veritable asset towards making the NDDC work for the good of the people and serve the purpose for which it was created.
“Your appointments as Edo State Representative and Finance Executive respectively into the NDDC Board is indeed worthwhile”.
The APC Chieftain also commended President Muhammad Buhari for displaying his top-notch desires to give Nigerians best professionals in handling the Commission, charging the duo, Obudu and Airhiavbare that their nominations have again offered greater opportunities to bring their wealth of experience to bear for the common good of the people.
“I sincerely, on behalf of the entire Edo State indigenes and my beloved family, heartily congratulate our two sons on your appointments and wish you both a successful tenure in office.” Afegbua said.
While praying God to grant the appointees wisdom to carry out the duties and responsibilities of their new offices, he charged the good people of Edo State to remain committed and ensure that all the APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections in 2023 swim into victory in order to sustain the developmental strides of the national ruling party across board.
