A former Executive Director, Institute For Agricultural Research (IAR) Professor Muhammad Faguji Ishiyaku, has been honored at the prestigious African Conference of Agricultural Technology (ACAT) in Nairobi, Kenya. 

He was acknowledged for his remarkable achievements in the field of Bt Cowpea, a groundbreaking contribution to agricultural innovation and sustainable practices.

This recognition serves as a testament to Professor Ishiyaku’s unwavering dedication, expertise, and tireless efforts in advancing agricultural technology, specifically in the domain of Cowpea Genetic Improvement in Africa.

Professor Muhammad Faguji Ishiyaku’s visionary leadership and pioneering work have not only enhanced the agricultural landscape but have also significantly contributed to the well-being of communities across the African continent.

The esteemed award was presented to Prof Ishiyaku by the Executive Director of the African Agricultural Technology Foundation, Dr. Canisius Kanangire, underscoring the significance and impact of Prof Ishiyaku’s achievements in this field.
