*says award encouragement to do more for country, humanity

Nigeria’s Pioneer Cable Television Entrepreneur, Alhaji Bawa Garba popularly known as ABG has been awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree For Science in an elaborate ceremony in Abuja.
The philanthropist and businessman while receiving the award from Baze University, Abuja said the honour would propel him to do more in advancing the cause of Nigeria and humanity in general.
The proprietor of the Abuja Citadel of learning, Datti Baba-Ahmed eulogized community development strive of ABG, adding that the business mogul was acknowledged for his contribution to the develpment of Science in the country and Sub Saharan Africa at large.
Baba-Ahmed noted that the University’s aim to honour deserving Nigerians who had distinguished themselves in service to humanity was to encourage others to follow suit by doing good to the people.
” On behalf of Governing Council and the Baze University Community, it is my honour to present to you this award of Honorary Doctorate Degree in Science in recognition of your contribution to advancement of Science and Humanity in general” he declared.
ABG, an astute businessman and investor in job creation while appreciating the University for finding him worthy of a recognition, noted that the award would serve as a springboard to propel him to do more for the general good of the Nigerian Society.
The recipient who was planning to establish a fertilizer blending plant in Kaduna in 2023, disclosed that the fastest way tp development was to create jobs and enabling grounds for teeming Nigerian youth whom he described as genius in crafts and self creativity.
” Nigeria is a great nation blessed with wonderful people with zeal and passion to excel if given the opportunity.
” It should therefore be our collective task to encourage these youth in particular to project their God given talents to explore various areas of human endeavours for the growth and progress of the society.
” I must point out here that the watch word of any investor should be job creation whenever they set out to establish any business.
” Any investment that fails to take seriously the peculiar needs of the people to improve their social status, does not count.
” I want to use this opportunity to appreciate my family, friends and investment partners home and abroad for their encouragement, wise counsels and firm belief in me and what I set out to achieve in life; improving living standard of my community,” he said.
