People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna Central Senatorial Candidate in February general election, Hon. Usman Ibrahim a traditional title holder, Sardaunan Badarawa was on Monday and Tuesday January 6th and 7th received by a mammoth crowd in Birnin Gwari and Giwa local government areas of Kaduna Central Zone.
Hon. Ibrahim was in both areas in continuation of his campaign tour of seven local government areas in Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone ahead the 2023 general election slated for February 25 this year.
He promised the people already overwhelmed by activities of bandits to work in collaboration with critical stakeholders to ensure the return of adequate security of life and property to the farming community.
The senatorial hopeful disclosed that he was already in talks with a Europe-based security experts, specialized in tackling asymmetric warfare using modern methods and technology, adding that the plan would be actualized when elected.
Sardaunan Badarawa who also holds the traditional title of Santurakin Hausa lamented a nearly total state of neglect which he said the people of the town had been subjected to, urging them to vote credible individuals with interest of the masses at hearts.
He reminded voters in the town how they were deceived and cajoled in 2019 to elect people who would later abandon the suffering farmers of Birnin Gwari and Giwa to their fate and the mercy of bandits whom he noted imposed taxes on hapless villagers with reckless impunity while authorities preffered to look on.
“The people of this town and others across the Kaduna Central Sensational Zone have suffered enough in the hands of this administration which has zero plan on how to provide security and improve the lots of people.
“The agrarian status of this town, I promise you will be restored and farmers shall go about their activities without fear of being molested, killed or kidnapped.
“We will ensure we prioritize your welfare, wellbeing and all those things that matter and make life worthwhile so you will feel the impacts of governance.
“APC has failed you and will fail you again a hundred times if you return them to power because the party has no conscience and compassion for the masses.
“Imagine the hardship you have been subjected to for close to eight years now since you voted this party into power.
“The present administration has now decided to give you a patting gift by removing from circulation naira and fuel, the most important products of life, making life so difficult and unbearable for the masses.
“It is time you showed them how powerful you’re by making the right choice through the ballot by electing our presidential, governorship and all candidates for your good and the development of your community.
“Education which is the fulcrum of attaining development and economic prosperity will receive primary attention by ensuring your children access quality education that has been made difficult by this APC admin which hiked tuition fees beyond the reach of the poor.
“I want to assure you today that you won’t be disappointed by voting me and all other contestants under the PDP because I have been doing so much for people to improve their social and economic status, this can be attested to by thousands of beneficiaries.
“If voted, I shall do more for you and make sure dividends of democracy are brought to your doorsteps,” he pledged.
