Hon. Peter Olorunfemi, a chieftain of Young Democratic Part (YDP) in Ondo State has called on Youths to mobilise the people to register ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Â
Speaking with journalists in Akure, Olorunfemi stressed the need for all lovers of democracy to equip themselves with Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), in readiness for the change of leadership in Nigeria.
Â
He assured of the readiness of the party to serve the interest of the teaming unemployed graduates when they get to power in 2019.
According to him, Youths are the tools that are being used from National to Local levels as think tankers as either Special Advisers or Special Assistance by politicians to cover up for their emptiness.
He therefore  urged the Youths to realise the potentials in them as people that are capable to rule the nation, by putting an end to the “use and dump phenomenon” of politicians during election period.
He urged the Youths to stop mortgaging their future and that of generations yet unborn for what he described as “peanuts” which can only last for few hours.
Olorunfemi, who is the Youth Leader of YDP in Ondo state disclosed that it is part of the plans of the party to empower Young Graduates to be self sufficient and be able to create jobs for others.
His words, “Youths should stop seeing themselves as parasites to the old brigades but rather cooperate with the party to take Nigeria to greater heights by springing surprises during the 2019 general election”
He assured that there could be radical change the moment Youths stop seeing themselves as leaders of tomorrow but rather leaders of today.
I will like to once again appeal to  the Youths to commence sensitising the people to register with the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and obtain their Permanent Voters Cards PVCs without which the much desired change of leadership will not be possible.
