Kaduna Govt Mourns Mahmoon Baba-Ahmed

The Kaduna State Government, led by Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai on Friday  condoled the entire family of Malam Baba-Ahmed after the death of ace broadcaster and commentator, Malam Mammon Baba-Ahmed who died on Thursday night in Kaduna.
In a statement issued by Samuel Aruwan, Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai’s media aide, the governor who condole the family, said, “I received the sad news of the death of veteran journalist, Malam Mahmoon Baba-Ahmed.

He was a household name in the media and worked in different capacities and also had a distinguished career, that cut across print and broadcast journalism.
“He was a rare breed and a courageous journalist, who reported the Maitatsine uprising of the 1980s objectively and earned accolades for bravery and grit journalism.
“It is on this premise, that, I on behalf of the government and people of Kaduna State condole the entire Baba-Ahmed family of Zaria over the death of Malam Mahmoon Baba-Ahmed, may Allah grant his soul Aljannah Firdausi and his family, the fortitude to bear this loss.”
