Taraba Governor to sack ‘over-stayed’ Civil Servants

Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has expressed dismay over the practice of falsifying records of service by civil servants in order to continue to stay in service.
He said any civil servants found to have falsified his record of service will be sanction and also ask to go and give fresh hands a chance to be employed’.
Governor Darius gave the hints while addressing traditional rulers and top civil servants that paid him Eid-el- Kabir sallah homage at his home town Takum.
He said he wanted to employ more workers in the state as part of his effort to reduce unemployment and blamed some civil servants for hampering his effort by over staying in the service.
.Governor Darius said a machinery will be set up to check records  of service of  civil servants in order to retire those that have reached retirement age.
He also described the practice of falsification of record of service as criminal and warned those found involved would be sanctioned and retired immediately.
 
Darius further stated that effort will be made to flush out ghost workers in state adding that the state was losing millions of Naira to ghost workers.
