There is palpable tension in Delta State with one person feared dead and three others seriously injured as armed Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba youths attacked Aladja Community at about 9:30am on Tuesday February 13.

The casualties suffered in the  gun battle are indigenes of Aladja Community.

The cause of the latest attacks by the armed youths is not unconnected with the land dispute between the two communities.

Parents withdrew their children from school as a result of the attacks while the Egweya (women group) blocked the entrance to Aladja Community due to sporadic gun shots.

Former President of Aladja Community Council,Hon. Tabuko Kabedje who was spotted rushing one of the injured victims to the hospital, confirmed the report to Our Warri,Delta State Correspondent saying,”onyekachukwu,I cannot see or talk to you or anyone of you  now. Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba are attacking us.”

Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer,DSP Andrew Aniamaka did not pick phone calls put across to mobile phone but the shooting is still ongoing.
