Buhari resumes, writes National Assembly

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday resumed work at the Presidential Villa, Abuja after a six-day vacation in London.
The President on resumption received the German President, Joachim Gauck in his office for bilateral talks.
He was also briefed by some of his aides and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who had been acting on his behalf while the vacation lasted.
A terse statement by the Presidency spokesman, Femi Adesina, announcing Buhari’s return to the country and resumption of work, said the President had also transmitted a letter to that effect to the National Assembly in line with constitutional requirement.
‪”President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday resumed work at the State House in Abuja after a 6-day vacation.

“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has sent a formal notice of his resumption to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“President Buhari was on vacation from February 5th, 2016 to February 10th, 2016,” the statement read.
