Following the prolonged insecurity in agrarian and urban settlements leading to shortage of food production, the Catholic Arch Bishop of Kaduna Arch-diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Mannoso Ndagoso has urged farmers to desist from indiscriminate selling of farm products in the name of sourcing money to spend at Christmas or other festivities.

Most Reverend Ndagoso who stated this during his annual Christmas message, maintained that the prolonged activities of banditry and terrorists in Northern Nigeria has caused food crisis in the country.
According to him, farmers must take note that there is life after Christmas and the essence of Christmas is more spiritual than fun fare and so, farm products should be sold with prudence.
Ndagoso called on government to redouble efforts on tackling insecurity as efforts so far are not good enough.
On the recent airport attack by Boko Haram insurgents few hours before the arrival of President Muhammadu

Buhari at Maiduguri International Airport,  ArchBishop Ndagoso questioned the intelligence gathering of security agencies, saying it’s an embarrassment and a systemic failure.

He charged Christians not to allow the circumstances of insecurity steal the Joy of Christmas, stressing that “Emmanuel” the saviour is still with us.
