YSFON Commiserates With Oboh’s Family, SWAN Over His Death

Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) has commiserated with family and  Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) over the death of one of its committed members, Mike Oboh.

Oboh, a veteran sports journalist died two days ago after a protacted illness.

In a statement by the federation, signed by its National Secretary, Patrick Okpavuerhe, the body  described the late Oboh as a committed journalist and a friend of YSFON who was s always interested in reporting YSFON activities anywhere in the country.

“The news of Oboh’s death came to us as a big shock and the legacies he left behind in his chosen profession will be difficult to fill. The Federation will seriously miss his services,” the statement said.

 While praying to God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest, the statement also prayed that God will give his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Meanwhile, National President of YSFON, Dr. Yusuf Gawuna has described the late Oboh as a trusted journalist whose services will be greatly missed.
