Why We Killed Ex Delta Police Chief – Suspect

A suspect arrested by police operatives in Delta in connection with the murder of the officer in charge of the legal department of the State Police Command, has confessed to the crime and gave reasons for the act, our correspondent has learnt.The suspect, identified as Chikwudi Emerin, 27,  as gathered,  revealed that the former police officer was killed because he was seen as a threat to the actualisation of the Biafra agenda.
Other reason advanced by the suspect for the gruesome murder of the erstwhile

cop is that he was a strong stakeholder and a titled holder in the community.
The Commissioner of Police Delta State Police Command, Mohammed Ali made the disclosure while giving account of the breakthrough recorded by the command from January 2022 till date.
He disclosed that the suspect arrested on 12th February, 2022 by the operatives while acting on intelligence report that he and his gang were hibernating somewhere in Aboh inNdokwa East area of the state.
Continuing he said, ”  The Suspect who is an escapee from Owerri prison, was arrested on 12/2/2022 at about 2100hours and he is suspected to bepart of the syndicate that killed the late Police officer Chris Kpatuma in Agwa clan, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo state.
He also stated that he is related to the late police officer and that the leader of the gang is called “Mega Bush”. The suspect also revealed that the late officer was killed because he was a strong stakeholder and a titled man in the community and owing to the fact that he was a Retired Police Officer, they saw him as a threat to their Biafra Struggle hence they decided to kill him. The Suspect Chikwudi Emerenin is also suspected to be part of the syndicate that beheaded a vigilante member in Owerri and used his head as ball some time ago”.
The Commissioner of Police hinted that Investigation into the matter s ongoing.
