Yusuf Abdulazeez of Gombe United has said that his team has the potentials to win the NIgeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and go continental under the tutelage of Coach Ali Zubairu.
He said Zubairu joined Gombe last season and they came first in their group of the national league losing only one match.”
He joined us in the 2020/2021 season, gave us promotion coming first in our group and losing only one match, with his experience as the Kwara United and Akwa United, chief coach as well as Wikki Tourists technical adviser in the past, I believe he can lead us to win the premier league alongside the players and other technical men, the sky is our limit,” he said.
The left full back of Gombe said the organisers of the league are getting better, but a lot still needs to be done to make it one of the best in Africa.
He added that the league board should do more on players welfare and players contract.
“Some clubs still owe players salary,” he lamented.
Yusuf concluded by saying he would put in 100% this season to earn a call to the national team and give Gombe United a continental ticket.
