Uba, Ngige Lands Jets In Obiano’s Umueri International Airport

Former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 6th governorship election, Senator Andy Uba  has landed a private jet at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri.

This is the first time the former presidential aide and lawmaker who was accused of sabotaging the commissioning of the airport would be using it.

According to a source at the airport, “At exactly 11:12am today, the candidate of APC in the just concluded Anambra Governorship election, Sen. Andy Uba aboard a private jet, 5N- ALG arrived the newly commissioned Anambra International Airport Nteje-Umueri.

“He was accompanied by Amb. Jerry Ugokwe, Chief John Emeka, Hon. Carter Umeh among others.”

Also landing at the airport was a private jet carrying the minister for Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige.

The state governor’s statement during the commissioning of the international Cargo and Passenger Airport, that the airport will be a busy airport has come to bare as it has already become so with the landing of two private jets in one day.

 Already, two private airlines have already commenced operation in the airport, after having been certified for commercial operations weeks ago.

 Ngige’s use of the airport is recorded as the first Nigerian presidential jet to ever land at the newly built and commissioned International Airport.

 The presidential jet arrived at exactly 12:25pm.

 On hand to receive him was the man whose ministry delivered the airport to ndi Anambra in fifteen months and the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor alongside other AADT officials.
