Residents of Kano State have issued a congratulatory message to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
In a series of chats with our correspondent shortly after the primaries, the people mostly politicians, were optimistic that the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC presidential candidate is a good symbol of effective democratic process in Nigeria.
Comrade Mustapha Umar Tallo Gwarzo, a renowned youth leader and activist in Kano, said that, “Nigeria’s politics is now getting recognition across the globe and I wish to thank his Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his colleagues the Northern governors for their determination and support to the winner of the polls which shows that 2023 elections would be free, fair and hitch-free”.
Similarly, youth groups from Kano South senatorial zone said that the present political situation in Nigeria is becoming more progressive, especially when the political actors remain committed to ensuring the full implementation of a democratic process.
In conclusion, all those who spoke to New Nigerian announced that all hands should be on deck to ensure that APC wins the presidential election in order to have a viable continuity.
