TGNEWS Award: FIntiri, Bindow, Others Honoured

Yola, the Adamawa State capital hosted great men and women, who had distinguish themselves in the country  as the state governor,  Ahmadu Fintiri, his predecessor, Muhammad Jibirilla Bindow and other personalities were honoured with merit awards on Saturday by an online newspaper, TGNews.

Immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr. Boss Mustapha and the first Nigerian female admiral, Admiral Jamila Sadiq Malafa (rtd) were also conferred with awards.

Others included, the House of Representatives member for Song/Fufore Federal constituency, Hon. Wakili Boya; the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Kashere, Professor Umar Pate; and the Arcbishop of the LCCN, Dr. Panti Filibus.

The awards were also extended to royal fathers, including Emir of Mubi, HRH. Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, Gangwari Ganye, HRH Adamu Sanda, Hama Bachama, HRH.Homun Ismaila Daniel Shaga and Kwandi Nunguriya, HRH. Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda.

Other personalities similarly given awards included TVC News Director, Stella Din-Peters, former Adamawa House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon Hassan Mamman Barguma, among many others.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri who received his award through his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, thanked the TG News for recognising the resourcefulness of his administration.

He said  such award make him want to do more for the people.

Another of the awardees, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Kashere, Umar Pate who was also the guest lecturer on the occasion, advised journalists to seek always to be accurate and give out information that builds the society.

In his welcome address, the Editor -in-Chief/Publisher of the TG News, Tom Garba, expressed gratitude to all who contributed in making the event a success.
