A 12-year old, Abdulkadir has been butchered to death by unknown person(s) in Zaria City.
Abdulkadir, a resident of Madarkaci was said to have met his untimely death on Monday, when his remains were discovered at an uncompleted building in the area.
According to his father, Aminu Saleh Muhammad, Late Abdulkadir was sent to collect a phone from a nearby commercial charger on Sunday evening, but didn’t return.
He said they tried all they could to trace him that day, but to no avail until on Monday, when his brother called him in the evening and informed that Abdulkadir was found dead.
Aminu said the killers were suspected ritualists because they butchered him by removing his eyes, penis, tongue and they broke his leg as well as cracked his skull.
The father requested for the body for burial from the Police after they finished their investigation, and they granted his request and the boy was buried according to Islamic rites.
Confirming the incident, the Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muhammad Jalige said, the boy was butchered to death by unknown murderers.
He said already the Police has commenced investigation in an efforts to arrest the culprits and face the law accordingly.
