The 2022 edition of the annual Supernatural Bible Dominion Ministry Gonin Gora, Kaduna, Children Convention has began.
Activities of the convention began on Wednesday May 11, at the church premises and would end with several activities on Sunday May 15.

When fielding questions from newsmen on the sidelines of the convention, Pastor Sunday Olaitan Peter Oladipo said,  “Today’s marks beginning of children conversation 2022.
“Children will learn beauty of living for God  and doing his purpose.
“This year, we have variety of activities including, quiz, news casting, drama, memory verse recitation and a host of others,” he said.
Pastor Oladipo explained that the convention is aimed at grooming children to grow up into godly and responsible citizens.
“We are trying to catch the children young and inculcate the things of Christ in them so that they don’t depart from it.
“Message I have for other children not fortunate to be here is that the  society and churches should organise such similar conventions so that they learn positive things and don’t depart from it,” he stressed.

For Elijah Agoola,  one of the children mentors, he said that they are building them spiritually and teaching them the things of God so that they can be great in life
“It is a three-day convention. The children will display what they have learnt to the church at the closing on Sunday,” he said.
A female mentor, Deborah Mercy Olaleye while happy that progress was being made, said that it is not easy teaching children.
” It’s not easy to control the children but we teach them the ways of the Lord. A child  came here dull, but from our teaching, is doing well in class presently.
“Parents should be teaching their children the ways of the lord,” she advised.
One of the children at the convention, Martin Luther Akatu Jnr,  said that he has learnt a lot and is now a repented child.
Another pupil, Juliet Olaleye,  13 years old,  said she learnt how to study the Bible.
“I will teach friends how to recite memory verses that I learnt at the convention,” she assured.
For eight-year old Israel Akika,  he was excited that he  has learnt how to read the scriptures.
“I want my daddy and mummy to know I have learnt a lot,” he submitted.

In his remarks, David Oladipo  who is 10 years old, said that before the convention, he finds himself fighting peers when provoked, but has put behind the habit, realizing that it is not good.
“I learnt it is not good to fight and have started teaching my friends in school the same,” he revealed.
