The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) Kaduna State Chapter, on behalf of all its members has commiserated with the people of Kano State and the entire Arewa over the demise of Shaikh Ahmad Bamba who died on January 7, 2022, and Alh Bashir Othman Tofa who transcended to the greater beyond on January 3, 2022.
A statement on Saturday signed by the Kaduna State (AYCF) Chairman, Comrade Sagir Umar, explained that the two eminent personalities lived a life of sacrifice and service to humanity.
“Their death left a vacuum that may take ages to be filled.
“Shaikh Bamba was a non compromising cleric, an elder not just by age but through actions and one who always says the truth no matter whose ox is gored. A true definition of gentility and a great pillar of Islamic scholarship and the Sunnah of our Noble Rasul (S.A.W).
“Tofa on the other hand, was a liberal and progressive gentleman who never wavered in his call for holding leaders accountable, an open minded politician with uncommon love for knowledge.” AYCF said.
Comrade Sagir Umar, prayed that God Almighty grants them Jannatul Firdausi, and gives their families the fortitude to bear the great loss.
