Founder and National President of the Super Eagles Supporters Club, Vincent Okumagba has congratulated the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Supreme Court, which affirmed him as the legitimate Governor of the state.
Prince Okumagba in a statement at the weekend, said he believes that Governor Oborevwori will not disappoint the Deltans as Governor in development.
According to him, there are people who have been in power but failed to do the needful because they don’t understand the nature of Delta state.
“Rt.Hon Sheriff Oborevwori should understand the yearnings of Deltans as a pure Warri pekin. He should take sports seriously as means of human development and empowerment as well as security, environmental and city beautification”, he said.
The Vice President of Africa’s Football Supporter’s body said the governor would develop policies and action plans that will maximise the contribution of sport to national development, pointing out that aside from its entertainment value, sports has the proven capacity to teach participants life skills in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
He also commended the Hon. Kenneth Nwaomucha led board of the Delta state football association, (DFA) for reviving youth sports and building confidence for the people.
