Ban on the movement of motorcycles from 2200hrs to 0600hrs (10:00pm to 6:00am) in Katsina city is still in force, Katsina state Police Command has said.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, Superintendent of Police, Gambo Isah who made the announcement, said that while in the frontline local government areas such as Jibia, Batsari, Safana, Danmusa, Dutsinma, Kurfi, Kankara, Faskari, Sabuwa and Dandume the ban of the motorcycles movement starts from 1800hrs to 0600hrs (6:00pm to 6:00am).
Superintendent of Police, Gambo Isah said the order was a directive from the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari and It was temporary lifted to ease movement during Ramadan period.
The enforcement according to SP Gambo Isah became necessary because of the recent threat to security caused by terrorists and other criminals riding on motorcycles.
