Resettlement: Borno Govt Allocates  Houses To Konduga IDPs In Dalori 1,000 Housing Units

The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Resettlement (MRRR), Engr Mustapha Gubio has resettled internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Konduga LGA into the newly constructed 1,000 housing units that was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari months ago.

Engr Gubio moved the IDPs from Dalori Camp II after the flagging off by Governor Borno Professor Babagana Umara Zulum mni on Thursday, Gubio moved over 700 households to Nguro Soye on that very day, whereby the returnees received cash, food, emergency relief materials and they are housed in newly constructed emergency shelters in Nguro Soye community of Bama LGA.

The Honourable Commissioner on Friday, moved 310 households of Konduga IDPs to Newly constructed 1,000 mass housing units in Dalori.

During the distribution of the houses, the coordinator of Victims Support Fund (VSF) Prof Nana Tanko who are partnering  the Borno State Government on rebuilding and resettlement process in Borno, urged the returnees to make use of the funds,  food and items given to them and emphasized on giving their children basic education and better upbringing.

Engr Gubio warned them to maintain the houses, food and cash allocated to them and urged them to be law abiding citizens of the community.

The Honourable Commissioner said subsequent distribution will also take place as Dalori I, Muna, Gubio and El-Badawi IDP camps are also directed to be closed as flagged by the governor within the periodic table speculated.

Those who accompanied the Honourable Commissioner are, Engr Abba Yusuf, Permanent Secretary MRRR, Director Planning SEMA, SSA and SA MRRR, among others.
