The new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Reference Hospital, Okene, Prof. Solomon Avidime have received management of Kogi State College of Nursing and Midwifery Obangede who paid him a courtesy visit in the hospital.
The management was led by the Provost of the school, Mrs. Abraham O. Hannah, who expressed appreciation to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for bringing such a world class hospital to Kogi State and also thanked Prof. Solomon Avidime and his team for the work done so far at the hospital.

She sought the recommencement of the age long partnership between the old general hospital and the nursing college in the area of nursing training and hospital experience.
Responding, the new CMD, Prof. Solomon Avidime appreciated the management team of the College of Nursing for the visit.
He intimated them that medical and nursing education/training is part of the mandate of the Reference Hospital Okene and the hospital is fully equipped for these purposes.
Abidime also said, the hospital is structured with the major clinical departments well established as well as the laboratory and radio diagnostic units.
As the services continue, soon there will be patients especially in-patients and the hospital will be glad to receive Nursing students on posting.

Prof Avidime said the attention of His Excellency to healthcare in the state is second to none and commended the upgrade of the institution to College of Nursing and other amenities that have been provided by Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Members of the management team who were with the Provost were, Mrs. Momoh A. Barikisu (Deputy Provost), Mr. Usman Audu Reuben (Registrar), Mr. John M. Adeniyi (College Librarian),
Mr. Yusuf Awwal (Dir. Works), and Mrs. Sadiq Binta O. (College P.R.O.).
The CMD conducted the team round the hospital to see the 21st century medical equipments that have been installed.
