In an effort to promote peace, love and caring among all in the  society by emulating the  teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Unique Muslim Sisters’ Association Of Nigeria (UMSA), has distributed  bags of rice with cooked Iftar food for breaking of Ramadan fasting to over 100 people in Kaduna State.

The disbursement of the food items to the needy, less privileged and people on the streets, took place on Monday at Hayin Keke and the forum’s head office located within the premises of New Nigerian Newspapers Limited Kaduna.

Speaking on behalf of this year UMSA team, Hajiya Mairo Umar explained that the distribution of the food items is part of the activities being carried out by the forum within the past 15 years, adding that this year is not different from others, despite the country’s economic challenges.

She added that the Unique Muslim Sisters’ Association (UMSA), has not relented in  efforts of ensuring it puts smiles on the faces of the needy and less privileged in the society by providing the required foodstuff on their table as usual whenever it is Ramadan  period each year.

She said, “engaging into charity activities is not an easy task,  especially nowadays that things are difficult due to hardship of the country’s economy, but no matter the situation, UMSA will always find a way of reaching out to the needy and less privileged, be it by tasking its members to provide from what  their pockets or savings.

“Nowadays, NGOs and forums as ours face a lot challenges when it comes to getting donations, contributions from others and wealthy individuals within and outside the state, while it takes only a strong kind hearted person with so much faith to give out charity, donations or contributions at such hard times.

“We implore and urge all good wealthy individuals to walk down their streets and reach out to the less privileged and needy, especially orphans and widows around them, because their reward will always be with the Almighty God for helping out those who are in need and have no access of getting what to feed their families or themselves.

“We urge the beneficiaries to accept the food items like that and make the best use of them. May Allah accept our Ramadan fast, ease our affairs and grant us all a place in Aljannah. We implore our members to continue to contribute more and to reach out more to the less privileged around them, especially during the Ramadan season. May Allah reward all of us. Amin.”

The beneficiaries thanked  UMSA for the gesture, while praying that Allah will reward the association  and its members abundantly.

They equally prayed Allah to accept the fasting of the members and those who contributed to their well being.
