As Muslims prepare to commence fasting of the Ramadan hopefully tomorrow, Member House of Representatives,  Hon. Ahmed Munir has distributed rice to constituents to ease hardship associated with feedings in the holy month.

The 50Kg rice was shared through traditional and religious leaders of both faith, Islam and Christianity in order to ensure transparency and accountability, according to the federal legislator.

The member who represents Lere Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, decried economic hardship experienced across the country, especially amongst the masses, calling on elected public office holders to do more in giving palliatives to the people.

He reiterated commitment to always remember the people at the grassroots by ensuring their well-being and other needs get the required attention.

“Democracy as a representative governance is all about service to the people by ensuring the necessities of life receive the needed attention from elected or appointed office holders.

“Nigerians today are in dire need of assistance to cushion the harsh effects of  subsidy removal which have spiralled to virtually every sphere of our lives.

“In the light of the above, it is therefore mandatory and in fulfilment of my campaign pledges to prioritize the welfare of my people thus, I am giving out premium quality rice to my people so they too can have the sense of being remembered.

“I intend doing this regularly to keep faith with my avowed electoral declaration,” he affirmed.
