In her quest to cushion the effects of hard times faced in the country, Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kaduna State, Maryam Suleiman Mairusau has distributed in the spirit of Ramadan, grains and other food items to 1,000 Muslim faithful.
In a ceremony where over 1,000 fasting Muslim women lined up to receive various food items ranging from rice, millet, spaghetti, milk, sugar among others, the ruling party’s women leader in the state, said she derived the inspiration of extending hands of generosity to the less privileged from Governor Nasir el-Rufai who’s her role model.
Suleiman described el-Rufai as one individual with passion to always assist people in need, saying it unsettles the governor each time he sees citizens of the state in hardship.
She urged the women and other muslims to use the act of worship and abstinence of the month of Ramadan to pray for Allah’s intercession on security challenges in the state and other parts of Nigeria.
“Act of giving should be a part of us now and always because each time you feed one individual, you’re building a home for yourself in the paradise.
“No act of generosity goes unrewarded by Allah who sees and records all our good projects in the cause of advancing humanity and development of mankind in this World.
“I must mention here that I got inspired by our humble Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai who never fails to remind us to be generous to people by taking care of their basic needs.
“It is erroneous  and falsehood in its unkindest form to say Governor el-Rufai is anti-masses because he wants things done the right way.
“He detests celebrating his kindness to people; he prefers doing good in discreet and uses proxies like us to dish out largesse to deserving members of the public whom he doesn’t even know.
“He dislikes being praised for doing good which he often says it is his job he is doing and doesn’t expect reward or praises from beneficiaries, other than from God Almighty,” she stated.
Uwale Isa, one of the beneficiaries applauded what she called  selfless service to humanity of the Women Leader whom she noted has been generous to people irrespective of faith, party and ethnicity.

Another beneficiary, Amina Yahaya commended Hajiya Maryam for her kindness to women folk in the holy month, adding that the society would be a wonderful place to live in if others emulate the act of giving of  the lady fondly called Mairusau by her teeming admirers.
