President of the all women initiative, Hajiya Amina Saidu said the association was formed 13 years ago, solely to assist the less privileged members of the society, many of whom she noted found it difficult to eat three quality meals in a day due to economic hardship experienced across the country.
She disclosed that the association carried out its activities by levies and personal contributions from members, urging corporate bodies and privileged individuals  to partner with the NGO to reduce hunger in the society.
Hajiya Saidu stated that taking care of basic needs of the poor as a core mandate of the association, would be sustained and expanded for wider coverage of the needy .
Royal Father of the Day, Emir of Zazzau represented by Haruna Abubakar Bamalli, while  commending kind gesture of the Muslim women, urged politicians and other well-meaning Nigerians to imbibe the culture of alms giving and philanthropy which he assured would go a long way in reducing poverty, crime and other antisocial behaviour among members of the society.
A member Board of Trustees of the association, Dr. Hassan Ibrahim advocated massive job creation through provision of opportunities for empowering teeming number of youth and women.
Dr. Ibrahim insisted that reliable panacea to sustainable peace in the Nigerian society was equitable distribution of resources amongst the populace ,  majority of whom he disclosed lived in penury.
A beneficiary who simply identified herself as Halima Ibrahim, said she lost her husband who was the breadwinner of the family three years ago, adding that it has not been easy feeding her four children.
She hailed the association for remembering widows in the Month of Ramadan, praying for Allah’s guidance, support and wisdom for the Muslim women she described as lives savers.
Zainab Umar, another beneficiary revealed that she woke up this morning thinking of where to go and get food for the family for breaking fast.
” Unknown to me, a caring association has prepared something big for me and my family.
“May Allah bless Unique Muslim Sisters  Association and their supporters so that they will continue giving to widows like us to feed our children,” she said.
