Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has approved the appointment of Professor K.I.T. Eniola as the pioneer Vice Chancelloror of the third Kogi State University, Kabba.
The appointment leads other Principal Officers for the newly established Kogi State University in the western senatorial district of the state.
The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones while addressing newsmen in Lokoka on Tuesday, said that the appointment of other Principal Officers by Yahaya Bello were approved.
They include the appointment of Dr. Amodu Joel Usman as Registrar, and Mrs. Alabi. F. Gbodi—as Bursar.
Others are, Prof. Ifatimehin Oluseyi as Director Academic Planning and Dr. Suleiman Otuoze as Director Physical Planning.
The appointment of the Principal officers for the fledging state university, by the governor, according to the education commissioner, took effect from September 12, 2023.
The appointment exercise of these principal officers has put to rest the speculations making the rounds that the establishment of the announced state University, Kabba was a political exercise.
