Club president, Felix Obuah, has given to victorious Go Round FC team on their return from Lagos on Wednesday from winning the Nigeria National League, NNL Super 4 a warm reception.
On return from Lagos, the team walked into the warm embrace of the president, Obuah who had prepared a banquet for them at his residence.
“The boys have proved they are not just fake champions. They have gone, seen and conquered and now they are in the premier league. I believe they will be a surprise package in the league. I must commend the technical crew of the team. They have done very well,” Obuah said.
Felix Obuah charged the players to stay focused on the task ahead , reminding them that the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL is a different terrain altogether.
He promised to improve on their welfare package as a reward for getting into the big league and suggested that he was working on getting the Rivers State governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike to host the team.
“The governor has sent his goodwill message to the team saying that even though we are privately run, we are still based in Rivers State and he is proud of our achievements and how we have won this trophy for the state,” Obuah said.
Present at the reception were Shedrach Chukwu, Commissioner for Energy, as well as three special assistants to the state governor, Shedrach Alalukwu, Nkem Nwaribe and Elemchukwu Obowu.
