According to the Chartered Institute Of Local Government and Public Administration through his leadership, Dayyabu Garga has exhibited uncommon leadership qualities since his time as Commissioner Ministry For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and going through other Ministries until now that he is Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council.

It said going by his antecedents and what he has brought to Kanam LGA within this period, it has placed him on a leadership pedestal that should be emulated subsequently.

It noted the areas of human capital development, access to rural health, transportation, security, potable water, electricity amongst others as many of the areas of great intervention by the administration and charged him to do more.

Responding after being decorated as a fellow by the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria, the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council, Dr.  Garga returned all glory to Allah and thanked the citizens of Kanam LGA for the support he has received so far, since taking over the mantle of leadership of the LGA.

He said he has worked with a great team, comprising of the executive, legislative, traditional council as well as staff of the LGC as such, identifying critical needs of the people and addressing them within available resources have been of great impact.

He said his administration adopted the bottom to top approach of governance, so that the people are allowed to drive the process as they know where it pinches them the more, saying this has greatly reduced the normal challenges faced at that level.

Dayyabu Garga assured that he will continue to attract purposeful governance to the people of Kanam and ensure peace and security is continuously prioritized as that will form basis for more development to come.
