Plateau Community Decries Rising Insecurity

the Inhabitants of Mistaali  area of  Bassa  Local Government Area of Plateau State have decried the incidents and cases of kidnapping as as well as increasing armed robbery in the area

Sequel to this development, Councillor Representing the area in Bassa Local Government Council , Honorable Murtals  Abdullahi convened a meeting of all the stakeholders including the Divisional Police Officer of the local government area, at the palace of the chief of Mistaali to find lasting solution  to the development.

He changed security operative to always do the needful and ensure the protection of lives and  property of those in distress.

According to him, “it is now obvious that the security operatives in the area  are scanty, hence the need for the vigilante groups and the people of the communities to wake up and ensure the protection of their lives and property”

He called on the Plateau State Police Commissioner to consider the establishment of police divisional office in Jingir community.

On his part,  the traditional ruler,  Mr Danladi Maikinga Kasuwà expressed the determination of the community to continue to work together to make sure that the people are protected from the kidnappers.

He lamented the increasing cases of kidnapping in the area, noting that as a result of this development, prominent people have relocated from the area. 

Also speaking, the Divisional Officer of Jingir  in Bassa Local Government Area, DPO Yakubu Samuel said the division is  ready to work together with the communities in finding a lasting solution to the problem of kidnapping in the  area.
