Ab All Progressives Congress  (APC) governorship candidate in the just concluded governorship election in Plateau State, Nentawe Yilwatda, has called for concerted efforts in tackling banditry in the state.

In a statement by his spokesman, Shittu Bamaiyi, he said  that there is the need to collectively and methodologically confront banditry head on.

He noted that the resurgence of terrorist attacks on some communities in Mangu, Bokkos and Riyom local government areas, should be handled frontally and collectively by all and sundry.

He said that it is rather unfortunate and painful that when the people are about to put behind the  ugly  narrative of terrorism,  some miscreants are hell bent on retarding the wheel of progress in the state.

According to him, so long as the people do not put aside their differences and forge ahead with a unity of purpose, bthe terrorists would continue to cause mayhem on them.

He suggested that there should be collaboration and sharing of intelligence among the communities to forestall any possible terrorist attack.

Nentawe sympathised with those who lost their loved ones in the affected communities and appealed to security agencies to put more efforts in tackling insecurity in the state.
