As part of its humanitarian gestures, Patrick & Ayobamidele (P & A) Youth and Women Foundation has donated sports wears to children and youth in Kaduna State.
One of the beneficiaries are, Nicowa School Kaduna Open Custodial Centre, where items were presented to the excited children.
Speaking during the exercise, Patrick Adeolu Awo explained that the importance of sports cannot be overemphasized, hence their decision to present sports wears to the beneficiaries.
“You know, the importance of sports to the overall development of humans cannot be overemphasized. Sports contributes immensely to the mental, physical and health of all humans, especially children, who perform better academically when they engage in sporting activities,” he said.
He added that the foundation which focused mainly on youth and women, has been at the forefront of touching the lives of many, especially the less privileged in the society
Awo who is the founder of the foundation, assured that the noble gesture would be sustained, as long as they have the financial resources to do same.
Responding, Headmistress, Nicowa School, Sakcit Bitrus thanked P & A for the gesture, while praying to God to always provide resources for them to keep up the good work.
She also urged other non governmental organisations and public spirited individuals to emulate P & A Foundation.
