Oyo NSCDC Arrests 72-yr Old, 6 Others  Over Alleged Harmful Traditional Practices, Defilement, Others

Seven suspects including a 72 years old man are now in the net of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State Command over offences bordering on child defilement, harmful traditional practices among others 

According to the Oyo State NSCDC State Commandant, CC Augustine Padonu, the seven seven arrested suspects were nabbed at different locations in the state.

CC Padonu disclosed that the suspects are currently undergoing investigation and they would be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed. 

The commandant identified the arrested suspects as Adedoja Lukman, (72) years old and Mutiu Alabi (45) years old, arrested for allegedly engaging in harmful traditional practices

He listed other arrested suspects as Osuolale Ayodele (53) arrested for allegedly raping a (13) year old minor on January 26th, 2024 as well as John Umeh, (64) arrested for sexually assaulting his stepdaughter since when she was (7) years old until she turned (16) years. 

CC Padonu stressed that other suspects are  Eyeke Chimechie, 45, arrested for impregnating a (17) years old girl and subjecting her to domestic violence while Tomiwa Olusegun, 35,and Eritobiloba Rasidi, 49, were arrested on February 22nd 2024, at Ojoo Motor Park while attempting to traffic four girls to Libya.

The Commandant emphasized that Oyo State NSCDC Command will continue to work tirelessly to combat Human Trafficking and all forms of violence against women and children.
