All the 32 members of the Oyo State House of Assembly today resumed sitting after 12days boycott as the Speaker of the House, Hon Michael Adeyemo declared that “there is no crisis” with Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
New Nigerian gathered that the lawmakers resumption was as a result of the meeting held between them and Governor Ajimobi at his (governor’s) residence in  Ibadan during which the governor reportedly tasked the lawmakers, led by their Speaker, Hon Micheal Adeyemo, to continue to perform their legislative duties as he would address the issues raised by the lawmakers.

The meeting according to our source agreed that the lawmakers should continue to hold their sittings as scheduled and continuous performance of their statutory duties as legislators.
Speaking with journalists at the Oyo NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan, the Speaker Hon Adeyemo declared that the lawmakers are ready and are up to the task as the house is poised for effective lawmaking that will better the lots of people of the state’
The Speaker who said the Oyo lawmakers did not boycott sitting over unpaid salary and allowances, explained that, “last Thursday I was away in Ilorin for the conference of Speakers of States Houses of Assembly.
“So, by not sitting on that day doesn’t mean we are on strike, legislatures don’t strike .There is no crisis and we are up to the task, the house is poised for effective lawmaking that will better the lots of people of the state”
