*Kaduna Bishop says NIgeria has failed under Buhari

By; NICHOLAS DEKERA, Kaduna

Over 700 Catholic priests on Thursday, held a peaceful protest during the burial of one of their colleagues who was killed by bandits over the weekend in Kaduna State.

The victim, Reverend Father Vitus Borogo, who was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community at Kaduna Polytechnic, was killed on his farm at Kujama in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

At the event held on Thursday at the Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, the Archbishop of Kaduna Archdiocese, Most Reverend Matthew Ndagoso who supported the option of State Police, lamented the rising insecurity in the country.

According to him, Nigeria has become a failed state under President Muhammadu Buhari due to the country’s security condition.

The cleric decried that Nigerians live in perpetual fear and have become hopeless due to the rising attacks and killings, while the Federal Government seems to be incapacitated to tackle the problem.

According to Bishop Ndagoso, the time has come for the government to establish state police in order to protect the vulnerable communities against bandits attacks since those saddled with the responsibility of protecting the lives and property of the citizens have failed to do so.
